Be careful what you wish for.

We had a white Christmas.

It all melted.

It came back.

But all I wanted was one more good snow to go sledding in.

I got it.

But really, 5 foot snow drifts, 60 mile per hour winds, and thundersnow was really more than anyone could have asked for.  (And if you don't know what thundersnow is- go Google it.)

(Photograph used with permission from my friend Jerry.
This is the front of his house.)

We're so exhausted from shoveling, sledding hasn't even crossed our minds yet.

So now I'm going to be careful what I wish for.  I got my snow....

...now bring on spring.

Bring on tulips.

Bring on summer and the public pool.

Bring on parties and backyard barbecues.

More importantly.... bring on flip flops.

Oh my beloved flip flops, how I have missed you so.

  1. Bring on the flip flops! I am so with you. You got a ridiculous amount of snow!! I hope the groundhog was right!

  2. Oh, oh... be careful what we wish for....

Poor Jerry.... that U shaped front of the house is bad for drifting for sure....good thing he has a snowblower. I have a patio that we have to dig out regularly.... and the windy days really let us have it.
