(Not Quite) Wordless Wednesday: Winter Sunset, Painted Sky

Another winter evening, another beautiful painted sky (through my eyes).

"The universe was not made in jest but in solemn incomprehensible earnest.
By a power that is unfathomably secret, and holy, and fleet.
There is nothing to be done about it, but ignore it, or see."
~Annie Dillard Pilgrim at Tinker Creek

"The sky is the daily bread of the eyes."

(Not Quite) Wordless Wednesday: Winter Sunset

"The Sky is God's canvas. Every day a new picture. Every day a gift." ~L.S.

I am fortunate that my kitchen window faces the west. While preparing dinner the other night I glanced out the window, grabbed my camera, and went out onto our upstairs balcony.  Here is my interpretation of that evening's sunset...

The heavens tell the glory of God. And the skies announce what His hands have made.
Psalm 19:1

What a blessing sunsets are. A blessing of God's creation that He shares with us.
