Banana Bread French Toast
Nothing beats warm banana bread fresh from the oven. When you have an abundance of bananas to make banana bread with, why not use one of those loaves for some delicious Banana Bread French Toast? Buttery, golden brown, and covered in maple syrup- your family is sure to love this easy recipe!
Banana Bread French Toast

Ingredients:
12 1-inch thick slices of banana bread, store bought or *homemade
4 large eggs
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Set side.
2. Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium low heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
3. When the butter is melted add 4 slices of banana bread that have been dipped into the egg mixture. Cook about 1 1/2 minutes per side until they are golden brown on both sides.
4. Transfer to a platter and keep warm in a low heat oven as you repeat with the remaining banana bread slices.
Serves 4.
*For a homemade banana bread recipe, you can follow my recipe here by doubling the recipe. Use the extra tablespoon of butter to grease a 9"x5'x3' loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
