Empty Boxes and Turtle Shells

I am finally the proud owner of a new Kitchen Aid mixer.

My kids are now the proud owner of a new empty Kitchen Aid mixer box.

Everyone is thrilled, happy, and content.

My seven year old daughter got dibs on the empty box.  First thing it became was her new turtle shell.

First thing I'll be making with my new mixer??? Hmmm..... the possibilities are endless.

I ended up making the streusel topping that went on last Saturday's pancakes.

((YUM!))

How I have baked as much as I have for all these years and not had one of these babies is beyond me.

Good-bye old metal beaters.

You have been well used, and well licked....

... but I'm moving on.

  1. Love my kitchen aid mixer! We have had for about 14 years or so and I can't imagine not having it. Your going to love it. Congratulations!

  2. Korean vegetable pancakes don't require a stand mixer, but if you need to break it, why not??? :) I just got a stand mixer this past fall and can never go back. I'm sure you will love it and glad to see your kids enjoy the box! Haha.

  3. Oops! I meant "need to break it in". I promise the pancakes won't break your new mixer. ;)

  6. And that was half my problem Tamyeln. Small kitchen = no counter space. You really have to commit to that baby being out and staying out. I did some rearranging and made this happen. :)
